Behind the name Home Again
The story of Home Again Ministries & Orphanage is deeply personal to its founder, Nicodhia Laplante. She experienced the loss of her mother at only three years old, shortly before turning four, and later also experienced the loss of her father. Those early experiences created a lasting understanding of what it means for a child to need stability, belonging, protection and a true sense of home. That personal history became part of the heart behind HAMO: the conviction that vulnerable children should not simply be housed, but embraced, educated, protected and surrounded by people who help them believe that their future can be different from their past.
Our Vision
To develop a sustainable, expandable campus in Haiti where children can grow from early childhood into young adulthood with access to housing, education, healthcare, nutrition, mentorship, spiritual guidance, recreation and preparation for independent life — while also continuing humanitarian support for families in the United States and abroad.
Our Mission
To provide vulnerable children with a safe, loving and stable home while supporting their physical, educational, emotional, social and spiritual development; and to extend compassionate assistance to children and families in need through humanitarian outreach locally and internationally.
